Amy B Tiong is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Inspired by her immigrant parents, she pursued her education with herculean efforts becoming a Gates Millennium Scholar, Tisch Dean’s Scholar, and Dean’s Scholar.
Amy's narrative short Take Care Zora which she co-directed with Antonio Salume, was made in partnership with Ghetto Film School and Dolby. It premiered at AMC Lincoln Center & The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
She directed a project for Bustle as part of their New Filmmakers Series. Bitter Sweet garnered press from Elite Daily, NBC News, and The Connecticut Paper.
Amy's most recent documentary was commissioned by PictureStart and highlights the MMIW (Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women) movement. Her prior works have earned her an IFC Audience Award, NYU Expository Writing Award, and the Tisch Post Production Award Grant.
She is currently working as a Production Coordinator with Vice Media Group
She also obtained her Masters in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport toward her CNS certification.
Amy is passionate about empowering others through knowledge and art. She hopes to combine her creativity, spirituality, and love of food to uplift the lives of others.
When she is not doing art or academia she enjoys giving back to her community by participating in charity runs. She also enjoys yoga, singing in the shower, baking, boxing, reading classics, and collecting vinyl records.
